August in Detroit: A Month of Celebration, Culture, and Community Power
This month celebrate everything that makes Detroit unique
August in Detroit isn't just another summer month—it’s a powerful reminder of what makes this city shine. From the legacy of Black entrepreneurship to the strength of homeownership and the soul of community gatherings, this month is packed with energy, purpose, and pride.
Celebrating Black Business Month
Detroit is home to one of the highest concentrations of Black-owned businesses in the country. From fashion houses and food trucks to tech startups and corner shops, Black business owners continue to drive the culture and economy of the city forward. This month, we honor their legacy and encourage everyone to support local, shop intentionally, and celebrate the innovation and resilience that defines Detroit’s entrepreneurial spirit.
